For Penelope, acting has taken centre stage.  As well as landing major roles in television shows such as Ever Decreasing Circles and The Borrowers, Penelope has an impressive six Olivier nominations to her name, finally winning Best Actress in 2015 for her role as Irmgard Litten in Taken At Midnight. Penelope’s film credits don’t disappoint either, including the likes of Calendar Girls, Shaun of the Dead, Match Point and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. However it is perhaps Penelope’s portrayal of Isobel Crawley in ITV’s Downton Abbey that cemented her status as a household name, receiving praise from audiences across the world.  Since Downton’s heyday, Penelope has starred in The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and reprised her role as Anne on the second season of Netflix’s After Life alongside Ricky GervaisMost recently, Penelope featured in the film Summerland.
